Workers will close a major rail crossing in Hialeah and lanes on expressways and surface roads this week throughout Miami-Dade County.
The railroad crossing at Northwest 79th Street between East 11th Avenue and NW 37th Avenue will be closed from 7:30 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m.Tuesday for repairs.
On the Homestead Extension of Florida’s Turnpike, up to two lanes in either direction may be closed nightly between Southwest 216th and 184th streets from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., each night through between Thursday for widening and toll express lane construction.
Also on the turnpike, one lane in either direction may be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday between Southwest 184th and 104th streets, for widening and express lane work. And up to two lanes northbound or southbound on the turnpike between Killian Parkway and Kendall Drive will be closed nightly through Thursday. The first lane closes at 9:30 p.m. and the second at 10:30 p.m. Both reopen at 5 a.m. the next day.
The entrance ramp to westbound State Road 836 from northbound and southbound Northwest 27th Avenue will be intermittently closed for bridge beam installation through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night and again on Friday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Saturday.
Workers will shut down all lanes on Northwest 37th Avenue between 14th and 13th streets for bridge beam installation through Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night and again on Friday from 11 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
Eastbound West 65th Street in Hialeah will be closed through Monday at Northwest 58th Place for road and drainage work.
