Kitten saved from storm drain; ready for adoption
It was a ‘purr-fect’ save for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
On Saturday morning, paramedics saved a kitten from a storm drain after “a motorcyclist had pulled over on the side of the road and heard what he thought to be a kitten in distress,” MDFR spokeswoman Erika Benitez said.
“He notified MDFR and on their way back from a call, MDFR Aerial and Rescue 43 stopped on to help,” Bentitez said. “After several attempts, the crews were able to flush this kitten from a storm drain on the side of the Don Shula Expressway and mile marker 1.”
After a warm bath and some food, the kitten made it to the Humane Society of Broward for a check up and is ready for adoption.
MDFR tweeted a pic of the cute kitty.
