Mercedes crashes into Miami-Dade police car in hit-and-run
A Miami-Dade police officer was involved in a hit-and-run crash early Wednesday in downtown Miami, according to early reports.
The officer’s car was hit by a Mercedes, which then took off from First Avenue and 12th Street.
Police later caught up with the car at the I-395/I-95 westbound ramp in downtown Miami and took two people into custody, Miami Herald news partner CBS4 reported.
The Miami-Dade police car had major damage to the front end. The police car was being towed around 6:30 a.m.
