Cargo plane makes emergency landing at Miami International Airport
The perimeter road around Miami International Airport was closed as a precaution Wednesday morning after a cargo jet experienced a problem after take off and had to return.
The Atlas aircraft lifted off just after 7 a.m. bound for Argentina.
The pilot reported a problem with the plane’s tires and was given permission to return. The plane touched down at 8:50 a.m.
Emergency fire crews followed the plane at safe distance until the plane came to a stop, they then surrounded it.
No fire or injuries were were reported.
