Allapattah man fatally shot in front of home

An Allapattah father of four was shot dead in front of his home early Friday morning. Then gunman is still on the loose.

Miami police hadn’t named the victim by early afternoon, only saying neighbors reported several shots were fired and police responded. They didn’t say if the shooter approached on foot or had a vehicle.

When police arrived, they found the man at Northwest 31st Street and 19th Avenue unresponsive. Miami Fire Rescue declared him dead at the scene.

Police said the man’s family was inside the home asleep at the time of the shooting.
