Witnesses: Man fatally shot over parking spot
A man was fatally shot Saturday morning near Marlins Park over an argument about a parking spot, witnesses say.
Around 2:30 a.m., the man’s friends heard him arguing with another man trying to park his pickup truck on Northwest Seventh Street, near 17th Place, Miami Herald news partner CBS4 reported.
A man who identified himself only as Martin, a middle school friend of the victim, told CBS 4, “It was a quarrel over a parking spot, apparently.”
“As I’m coming in, I see them arguing. It was a dark pickup truck. I wanna say dark red. And he got shot. My other friend, he had a gun pointed to his head,” he said.
The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital with a chest wound, where he later died.
