Police: Paralyzed woman raped by man in Northwest Miami-Dade home

A man was arrested Tuesday after police say he raped a woman who is paralyzed from the waist down.

Luis Ulquiaga, 65, was arrested and charged with battery on a victim who is “physically helpless,” and tampering with a victim. He was being held in jail on a $35,000 bond.

According to his arrest affidavit, the 33-year-old woman was in a Northwest Miami-Dade home Tuesday morning when Ulquiaga “removed her adult diaper, kissed her on her neck and forced … intercourse,” and officer wrote.

When he left her room, she called police but he came back and took the phone from her.

Ulquiaga denied the allegations, according to the report.
