Tornado watch issued for Miami-Dade and Broward counties
The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for Miami-Dade and Broward counties until 5 p.m. on Friday.
“Storms to the Northwest have shown signs of rotation,” said NWS meteorologist Kris Mattarochia. The service has also had reports of funnel clouds.
There’s a threat for severe weather Saturday night going into Sunday morning, he said, due to a low-pressure zone moving across the Gulf of Mexico.
Through 3 PM, a line of thunderstorms will move SE into Broward County, producing up to 2" of rainfall, with localized street flooding.#flwx
