The annual Three Kings Day Parade will move along Calle Ocho on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

The parade, held to honor the Hispanic tradition of the Three Wise Men giving gifts to children, will march along Southwest Eighth Street, from Fourth to 17th avenues.

Starting at 6 a.m. Sunday, the eastbound lanes of Southwest Eighth Street from Fourth to 19th avenues will be closed. Traffic will be detoured north or south at 19th Avenue. Eighth Street will remain closed until 6 p.m.

Southwest 12th and Eighth avenues will be open for traffic in both directions early on. All avenues will be closed by 10:30 a.m.

Miami-Dade Transit buses that normally travel along Southwest Eighth Street will be detoured. More information can be found at Miami-Dade Transit’s website, www.miamidade.gov/transit.

Southwest Seventh Street will stay open westbound until 12th Avenue, where it will be detoured north. Area residents will be allowed to travel along Southwest Seventh Street on the north side or Southwest Ninth Street on the south side.

Univision is sponsoring the parade.
