Turnpike traffic blocked after major spill — of shoes
A Penske truck overturned on Florida’s Turnpike on Friday afternoon, spilling hundreds of shoes and blocking the exit ramp.
The accident, which occurred in Miami Gardens near NW 199th Street, left two people on stretchers, as seen from the CBS4 helicopter. The off ramp is closed.
A Florida Highway Patrol spokesman said the exit is completely blocked, and it’s unclear when it will reopen.
