Federal offices: Closed on Thursday.
State offices: Closed on Thursday.
Miami-Dade county offices: Closed on Thursday.
Broward county offices: Closed on Thursday and Friday.
Miami-Dade and Broward courts: Closed on Thursday. Broward courts also closed on Friday.
Public schools: Closed.
Post offices: Offices are closed on Thursday.
Stock markets: Closed on Thursday.
Banks: Most are closed on Thursday. Check with your bank for schedule.
Miami-Dade libraries: Closed on Thursday.
Broward libraries: Closed on Thursday.
Tri-Rail: Weekend schedule on Thursday.
Miami-Dade Transit: On Thursday, Christmas Day, Metrobus, Metrorail and Metromover will operate on a Sunday schedule. Some weekday-only routes, such as the I-95 Dade-Broward Express and the I-95 Express going to Golden Glades, will not run.
Broward Transit: Sunday schedule on Christmas Day.
Miami-Dade garbage collection: No collection on Thursday.
Broward garbage collection: No collection in unincorporated areas. Check with your municipality for schedule.
Malls: Most will close at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and remain closed on Christmas Day.
What’s open: Walgreens, hospitals, movie theaters, some restaurants.
