New $1 million gift for Frost Science Museum
The Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science in Miami has announced a new $1 million gift.
The latest donation comes from Ted Caplow, CEO of Caplow Applied Science and a member of the museum’s board of trustees. It will go toward the museum’s five-floor Innovation Center.
Caplow’s gift brings the private fundraising total to more than $90 million; the goal is $135 million. County bond money is funding $165 million of the total.
Officials expect the museum to open in downtown’s Museum Park by early summer 2016.
