Crash kills 1, shuts down lanes on Palmetto for 6 hours
One person was killed Sunday morning in a violent one-car crash on the Palmetto Expressway that shut down northbound lanes for hours.
Florida Highway Patrol investigators are on the scene of the crash.
An SUV flipped around 3 a.m. and scattered debris across State Road 826 at Northwest 122nd Street. A witness said the occupant was ejected into the roadway. Another person was injured.
Northbound 826 was shut down from 103rd Street until after 9 a.m., six hours after the crash.
