Steve Sotloff's parents light first Hanukkah candle during celebration in Southwest Miami-Dade
Arthur and Shirley Sotloff remembered their son Steve Sotloff as they light the first Hanukkah candle during a celebration organized by the Chabad Center of Kendall/Pinecrest at 8700 SW 112th St. in Southwest Miami-Dade on Tuesday.
Steve Sotloff, a journalist who grew up in Miam-Dade and attended the University of Central Florida, was beheaded by Islamic State militants in September after he was abducted in Syria in August 2013.
The 31-year-old became the second hostage death shared publicly by the terror group. The group has since killed more hostages in a similar manner.
