1 killed, 4 injured in Brownsville crash
A man was killed and four people were injured in a violent early-morning crash in Brownsville on Sunday, according to Miami-Dade police.
Police said that Travis Taylor, 27, was speeding north along the 5000 block of Northwest 32nd Avenue in his Chevrolet Camaro at about 3:30 a.m. when he lost control and the car slid into the southbound lanes.
Yolanda Sneed, heading south on Northwest 32nd Avenue in a 2014 Dodge Charger, hit the Camaro, according to police.
The collision caused Andrew Morgan, 27, who was sitting in the passenger seat of Taylor’s car, to be thrown. He died on the street.
Taylor and two other passengers, 25-year-old Diamond Paxton and 25-year-old Shaker Young, were taken to Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition. Sneed was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
Police are looking into whether alcohol or drugs played a part in the crash.
