Man, woman taken to Jackson after shooting

A man and a woman were shot Sunday evening in Northwest Miami-Dade and taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Police arrived about 8:10 p.m. in the 10600 block of Northwest 11th Avenue in Pinewood. The woman had a wound in the leg and the man had been shot in the chest, said Miami-Dade Police Detective Alvaro Zabaleta.

Both victims were in stable condition when they were taken to the hospital.

The shooter was still unknown and at large, Zabaleta said.
