Surfside council members on Wednesday will begin interviews for a new town manager.
Afterward they will host a community meeting with the job candidates, scheduled for 3:15 p.m. at 9293 Harding Ave, second floor council chambers.
Michael Crotty, town manager since March 2013, announced in June that he will be leaving. His last day will be Monday.
Former assistant Police Chief John DiCenso will be the interim town manager until a permanent replacement is on the job.

The commission hired Colin Baenziger & Associates, a local search firm, to find job candidates.
Wednesday’s meeting will allow for town residents to ask questions directly to the applicants.
