Bal Harbour appoints new mayor, vice mayor

Bal Harbour appointed Councilman Martin Packer as mayor and Patricia Cohen as assistant mayor at the village council induction meeting Monday.

In the Nov. 4 election, Seth Salver defeated Jordan Cohn for the district 1 seat. Cohen and newcomer Gabriel Groisman were automatically elected to represent districts 3 and 5 after no one else entered the races.

Jaime Sanz is also part of the council, representing district 4.
