Police investigating Miami Beach death

Miami Beach police are investigating the death of a 31-year-old man, whose body was found in a backyard across from the Miami Beach Golf Club.

A caller contacted police about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday to report the discovery of the man’s body at 2179 Meridian Ave. Investigators found no sign of foul play and were awaiting a cause of death from the medical examiner, said Miami Beach Detective Vivian Thayer.

Thayer declined to release the man’s name until police notify his next of kin.
