The Metromover’s Brickell and Omni loops will close early Saturday night and open late on Sunday morning because of routine maintenance, according to Miami-Dade Transit.
Beginning at 11 p.m. Saturday until the train's regular closing at midnight, riders will have to use a shuttle bus instead. The Metromover will begin again at 9 a.m., four hours after its normal start.
The free bus-shuttle service, which runs every 10 to 15 minutes, will be provided among all Metromover stations on the Brickell and Omni loops. The bus service will be from 10:30 p.m. through midnight Saturday and from 5 to 9 a.m. Sunday. A map of the shuttle bus stops are available at www.miamidade.gov/transit/metromover.asp.
Transit spokeswoman Karla Damian said the routine repairs are done periodically to keep the trains moving smoothly.
