FBI: Man charged with robbing Southwest Miami-Dade bank branch

Hours after releasing photos of a man investigators said robbed a Southwest Miami-Dade bank branch, the FBI announced that an arrest had been made.

The incident happened just before 4 p.m. Thursday at a Bank of America branch, 20099 SW 127 Ave. in Miami.

Later in the day the FBI released surveillance pictures of the man, whose face was not covered. The man sported facial hair, an earring and a baseball cap and carried a backpack.

Investigators said he walked up to a bank employee and demanded money. No one was injured in the robbery and the amount of money taken was not released.

By 9 p.m. the FBI said a person was in custody, but did not release more details.
