Ready to party for July 4? Get a rundown of events in Miami-Dade and Broward

Ready to party in South Florida?

No, we’re not talking about a World Cup watch party or a late-night club party. Saturday, July 4, is the nation’s 250th birthday, and Miami and Broward are throwing the country a birthday bash with indoor and outdoor events beyond burgers and fireworks.

The offerings include festivals, drone shows and museum exhibits.

4th of July Parade in Miami Springs

Miami Springs is starting the festivities early with an Independence Day Parade heading east on Westward Drive then south on Curtiss Parkway.

Founding Documents at Museum of Miami

The Museum of Miami is hosting nine founding-era documents through July 5 as a part of the Freedom Plane National Tour. On July 4, a celebration will take place on the museum plaza with bounce houses, vendors, music and face painting.

Key Biscayne 4th of July Parade

Guests are recommended to arrive early and grab a good spot to watch Key Biscayne’s 67th annual Independence Day parade.

Fort Lauderdale Beach Spectacular

Visit Las Olas Oceanside Park for beach games, contests, fireworks, a drone show and live entertainment featuring country music artist Walker Hayes.

4th of July Pool Party in the Springs

The family can visit the Miami Springs Aquatic Center for an Independence Day pool party with snacks and hot dogs. Pre-sale tickets are required for entry, with city residents and non-residents priced differently.

250 United: America’s 250th Celebration at Bayfront Park

RSVP for free admission to Bayfront Park’s drone show, fireworks and all-day musical entertainment — with performer styles including Latin, reggae, hip-hop and pop-rock. This event has a FIFA World Cup Fan Zone with food and beverage vendors for those watching the day’s games.

Independence Day Water Park Special

Doral Central Park’s Aquatic Center offers an Independence Day celebration at the water park with a DJ; tickets $12-$15. Guests must pre-register; tickets will not be sold on-site.

Hialeah Independence Day Celebration

Peacock Park is holding a ‘Taste of the Grove’ with local food vendors, along with fireworks and musical artists such as Tony Succar and Band.

July 4th Roller Disco in Miami Beach

Bring your skates or get a free rental with photo ID as a city resident at the Miami Beach Bandshell, transformed into an outdoor roller rink for the holiday.

South Miami’s 4th of July America’s 250th Celebration

Join a hot dog eating contest or wait for the fireworks while listening to live music and ordering from food vendors at Palmer Park. For children, there is a Kid Zone and whipped cream eating contest for ages 5-17.

Coral Gables Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration

Beyond the fireworks, the grounds of the Biltimore Hotel will feature a Greater Miami Symphonic Band concert and drone show of American symbols.

Doral Independence Day Celebration

Miami Lakes Fourth of July Celebration

Kids can enjoy nine-hole mini golf, an inflatable challenge course and more games at Veteran’s Park alongside live music, ending with a firework show.

Coconut Creek Seminole Casino Independence Day Celebration

Frost Science Museum Celebrating American Innovation

On view at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science is a poster exhibit highlighting American innovators and advancements. Guests can take part in an associated passport program until July 31.
