Metromover will stop running Saturday morning for system upgrades, but Miami-Dade Transit will run shuttle buses between the stations while the train cars are down.

The three loops — Brickell, Omni and Downtown — will be down starting at 5:30 a.m. May 16. Downtown and Brickell service will resume at 2 p.m. and Omni at 3 p.m.

A free bus shuttle will run between stations every 10 to 15 minutes while Metromover is out of service, according to the Miami-Dade County Transportation & Public Works department.

The schedule upgrades to the Metromover loops are done on select Saturdays to avoid major workday and weekend night disruptions.

Remember to allow for extra time if you take the shuttle because buses can be delayed in traffic.

Metromover will be up and running in time for your Brickell dinner plans and shows at the Arsht or Kaseya Center. The trains run until 10 p.m.

The driverless people mover circles downtown Miami, with a legs south to Brickell and north to the Arsht Center areas. Major stops include stations near the Miami Heat arena, the museum district and park, Bayside Marketplace and Miami Dade College’s downtown campus. Metromover connects with Metrorail at the Government Center station.
