A gunman is on the loose in Miami after shooting a man in the arm, police say

Miami police officers are on the hunt for a gunman who shot a man Wednesday evening.

Around 5:10 p.m., a 911 call alerted police to a man who was shot in a possible roommate dispute in the 3400 block of Southwest 10th Street, Miami police said.

Officers found the man, who has not been identified, with a gunshot wound to his upper arm, and he was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center by Miami Fire Rescue. He is in stable condition.

Police have not yet released a description of the gunman.

As of 8:05 p.m., police said they have detained a person, but it is unclear what role they may have played in the shooting.
