Sweetwater man got probation after child-rape accusation. He is accused again
A Sweetwater man was sentenced to 10 years probation after a child accused him of sexually abusing her. Just more than a year into serving his time, he faces a new accusation of child sex abuse and has been accused of stealing over two dozen credit cards, court records show.
Antwon Glenn, 29, is facing charges of sexual battery of a minor and kidnapping in one case, and 29 counts of unlawful possession of stolen credit or debit cards and one count of possession of personal ID information from another person.
In July 2023, a 14-year-old girl told Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office detectives that Glenn, a family friend who lived with her in West Perrine, grabbed and raped her in a bathroom, an arrest report read.
“The victim disclosed [Glenn] did this to her on several different occasions,” the report read.
He was initially charged with sexual battery of a minor and kidnapping by deputies, court records show. However, after a year-long court battle, he accepted a plea deal in which he admitted guilt to aggravated child abuse and interfering with the custody of a child.
He was to be imprisoned for 366 days, which he only did 20 of because of previous incarceration time. After his prison release in August 2024, he started a 10-year probation that would have ended in 2034.
A little over a year later, in late January, Glenn found himself in jail again after Miami-Dade deputies found 34 ID cards and 29 credit cards all belonging to different people in his backpack during a “probation violation check,” records show.
While in the Metrowest Detention Center, Miami-Dade detectives confronted Glenn about another allegation from a 15-year-old girl about child sexual abuse committed while he was on probation stemming from the similar accusation.
It’s unclear when authorities spoke with the girl or if she is the same child in the 2023 case.
In the new allegation, the accuser divulged that on July 5, 2025, she was outside her South Miami Heights home when Glenn drove up to her in a white SUV, an arrest report read.
He grabbed her arm and forced her into the vehicle — Glenn raped her. He then drove her to a nearby apartment, where he raped her again, the sheriff’s office said.
Miami-Dade detectives spoke with Glenn on March 26, they said, but he refused to talk and asked for a lawyer.
He is still in jail and is being represented by a public defender.
