One dead and one injured in Allapattah shooting, cops say. One person in custody
One man is dead and another injured after a midday shooting in Allapattah on Saturday, Miami police say.
Around 12:10 pm, officers rushed to reports of gunshots near Northwest 17th Avenue and 54th Street, police said. Authorities found two unidentified men in their 20s shot several times.
One of the men died at the scene, while the other was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition by Miami Fire Rescue.
Officers do have a person, who was also not identified, in custody. It’s unclear if they will face charges.
