Read the judge’s order in Brightline case

A federal judge this week dismissed a lawsuit that a former train conductor filed against Florida passenger train Brightline, saying the complaint was a “shotgun pleading” that contained irrelevant material.

The lawsuit was filed by Darren Brown, whose therapist diagnosed him with post traumatic stress disorder. Brown is seeking compensation from Brightline after being involved in multiple fatalities.

Brightline asked that the lawsuit be dismissed. The judge agreed, but will give Brown time to file a new version.
