Off-duty Miami-Dade deputy critically injured in car crash: sheriff’s office
An off-duty Miami-Dade deputy was critically injured in a car crash Tuesday night, the sheriff’s office said.
The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. near Southwest 137th Avenue and 22nd Street, the agency said.
The sheriff’s office did not provide details of the crash, but said it involved another driver, who was not injured.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue paramedics took the deputy to the hospital, where he was in stable condition as of Wednesday morning.
Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide detectives are investigating the crash, said Detective Samantha Choon, an agency spokeswoman.
