Two killed in crash on U.S. 1 in Southwest Miami-Dade, deputies say
Two people were killed in a car crash on U.S. 1 near Kendall early Friday, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
Around midnight, deputies arrived in the area of US 1 and Southwest 112th Street and found two cars involved in the crash. Both drivers of the cars, a man and a woman, were dead.
The crash temporarily shut down all lanes of Southwest 112th Avenue to 200th Street, also known as Caribbean Boulevard.
Details of what led to the crash were not immediately available. MDSO Traffic Homicide detectives are investigating.
