Skip the office: Miami-Dade brings REAL ID, license services to neighborhoods
For a limited time, Miami-Dade residents can complete key driver’s license, REAL ID and vehicle transactions without visiting a county office.
The Miami-Dade Tax Collector’s Office announced the launch of a mobile service that will bring essential transactions directly to communities across South Florida, along with guidance on taxes and local services.
“Residents are encouraged to schedule an appointment in advance to secure their spot and reduce wait times,” the office said.
Mobile office expands access to licenses and REAL ID
The TConnect mobile unit will visit several locations this week to make government services more accessible to residents.
“TConnect allows residents to take care of important transactions without traveling to a full-service office, saving time and making government services more convenient,” the official announcement said.
At each stop, residents can receive assistance with:
- Driver’s license renewal
- REAL ID and ID card processing
- Vehicle-related services
- General tax guidance
The mobile station will provide on-site support for these services, though the Miami-Dade Tax Collector’s Office recommends scheduling an appointment in advance.
Where and when to access TConnect services
The mobile offices will operate from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at multiple locations across Miami-Dade County.
