Miami man’s hoard of hundreds of child sex abuse files discovered, police say
A domestic fight led to the discovery of a Miami man allegedly hoarding hundreds of videos depicting sexual abuse of infants and toddlers, police say.
Daniel Nehemiah Little, 36, is facing 15 charges of possessing images of sexual performance by a child, according to his arrest report. As of Friday night, Little remained in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
On Tuesday night, an unidentified man went to the front desk of the Miami Police Department to report he and his husband, Little, were involved in a domestic-violence incident after he discovered something troubling, the report read.
On Monday, the man was cleaning their apartment when he saw Little sitting in front of his laptop with headphones on looking at a naked child, police said. Little became startled when he noticed his husband watching him, slammed his laptop shut and asked him if he saw what he was doing.
Little “became irate,” pushed his husband against a wall and started choking him, the report read. The man lost consciousness as Little threatened to kill him and punched him in the shoulder and chest.
Later that afternoon, the husband was organizing a closet when he discovered two hard drives, police said. When he confronted Little about them, he snatched them out of his hands and began choking him until he lost consciousness again.
He waited for Little to fall asleep and searched his belongings, finding a small black hard drive on his nightstand. He recorded himself searching through Little’s files, which had several folders of child sexual abuse material, the report read.
He brought Little’s hard drive and laptop to the police department and showed officers his recording.
Learning what was on the devices, Miami police detectives obtained a search warrant and went through the drive themselves. They found hundreds of files of child pornography and described, in Little’s arrest report, a handful that involved victims ranging in age from infants to 5 years old.
Police arrested Little on Tuesday and planned to interview him immediately, but he showed signs of being under the influence from an “unknown substance.”
His attorney did not immediately respond for comments.
