Zoo Miami shut its gates to the public Friday afternoon due to a water main break, the facility announced.

The southwest Miami-Dade tourist attraction, 12400 SW 152nd St., issued a statement on social media shortly after 1 p.m. It was not immediately clear when the issue is expected to be resolved and the zoo to reopen.

The zoo said anyone with questions about tickets should send an email to zoomiami@miamidade.gov.
