One person killed after car and scooter collide in North Miami-Dade crash: MDSO

The driver of an electric scooter was killed after a collision with a car near Miami Shores Tuesday morning, Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies say.

Around 10 a.m, deputies were alerted to the crash and rushed to the scene in the area of North Miami Avenue and Northeast 103rd Street, authorities said.

It’s unclear what led to the collision, but a preliminary investigation found the car and scooter were the only vehicles involved, with the driver of the scooter dying at the scene.

Authorities did not release the identity of the scooter driver .

NBC 6 South Florida reported the car involved was a Tesla.
