Bicyclist critically injured by car near Coconut Grove, Miami Fire Rescue says

A bicyclist was critically injured after being hit by a car Sunday morning, Miami’s Fire Rescue department said.

The cyclist was hit around 9 a.m. at the 3000 block of Southwest First Avenue near Coconut Grove.

Paramedics took the 53-year-old man to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital to be treated for head injuries, said Lt. Pete Sanchez with Miami Fire Rescue.
