A woman walked into a Miami-Dade smoke shop to buy narcotics. Unsatisfied with the quality of her purchase — she opened fire at the business — killing a man, deputies say.

Desma Shaiann Flanders, 32, was booked into jail on Wednesday and charged with second degree murder.

Around 6 a.m. Thursday, Miami-Dade deputies responded to an alert of at least five round of gunshots at 46 St Super Market-Vape & Smoke Shop, 4520 NW 27th Ave. Upon arrival, they found a man, identified as 50-year-old Abdul S. Rolle, with multiple gun shot wounds, according to Flanders’ arrest affidavit.

Rolle was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center where he died shortly before 8 a.m. The Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled his death a homicide.

Deputies say the shooting was captured on surveillance video footage from a nearby business.

Flanders drove to the smoke shop and entered the store to buy narcotics. After her purchase, deputies say she and Rolle began to argue about the quality of narcotics, which was not specified.

She began walking away from the smoke shop then pulled out a gun and fired at the front door — fatally wounding Rolle, her arrest affidavit shows.

It’s unclear what type of narcotics that Flanders purchased and if Rolle was the seller.

Flanders was detained at her North Miami home and brought in for questioning at the MDSO Homicide Bureau, where she admitted to being at the smoke shop but denied pulling the trigger.

She was taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and remains there as of Thursday afternoon, according to jail records.
