John Mayer was just linked to this Florida influencer — but there’s a twist
Kat Stickler likes to keep her millions of followers guessing.
The TikTok star’s love life has been under the microscope for the last year since her very public breakup with Bachelorette alum Jason Tartick.
In September, the Tampa-based single mom soft-launched what appeared to be a serious relationship with a hunky tall man, whose face was never fully shown.
“To love and be loved,” said the caption along with a carousel of PDA-filled moments.
So fans were left scratching their heads when gossip site Deux Moi broke that Stickler had gone on not one, but two dates with John Mayer in NYC last week.
Because the tatted guy in the cryptic clip posted last month didn’t have Mayer’s famously scruffy, thick dark hair. Definitely not him, as any superfan would know.
So, had Stickler already broken up with the mystery man? Why was the video not deleted then? Or perhaps Stickler’s playing the field and Romeo No. 1 is living under an Internet-free rock (the influencer does mention he’s very “private.”)
Because an insider confirmed to UsWeekly that Stickler was indeed seeing the “Your Body is a Wonderland” singer, adding that the 48-year-old Grammy winner reached out to her, not the other way around.
“He’s been actively pursuing her, inviting her places and texting her often,” the source told the outlet. “She is interested and seeing where it goes.”
Sigh. In a new TikTok, Stickler throws a monkey wrench into the mix, claiming she is currently single.
Proof? A new look.
“I cut all of my hair off out of the blue one day ... You think I just did that for no reason?” the 30-year-old University of Miami alum says. “This was a cry for help. This was a telltale sign of a relationship gone bad.”
So, your guess is as good as ours about Stickler’s current status. But if anyone sees Mayer around the Tampa area, you’ve probably (maybe) got your answer.
