Police arrest man in connection to man stabbed to death at Miami-Dade park
A man was stabbed to death at a Miami-Dade park Tuesday morning after getting into a fight, deputies say
Around 9:45 a.m., Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies rushed to a call of a stabbing at Arthur Woodard Park, 1220 NW 99th St. They found an unresponsive man with multiple stab wounds, who was later pronounced dead at the park by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, according to MDSO.
Investigators learned Christopher Michael Prats, 31, ran from the scene, but witnesses helped deputies track him down.
Prats spoke with investigators, although what he told them was redacted in his arrest affidavit. Prats had minor scrapes to his knuckles, whereas the dead man had deep lacerations all over his body, including his neck, chest and face, the arrest report said.
Prats has been charged with second-degree murder and remained jailed at Turner Guilford Knight Correction Center as of Wednesday morning, records show.
