Flash flood warning issued in Miami-Dade, Broward as thunderstorms dump rain: NWS

Heavy rains and thunderstorms caused flooding in much of Broward and Miami-Dade counties Monday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Around 4:40 p.m., forecasters issued a flash flood warning for the metro Miami area, east of Miami International Airport.

That alert was in addition to four flood advisories the National Weather Service-Miami issued earlier in the day.
