A passenger in a Mercedes-Benz SUV opened fire on Interstate-95 in Miami-Dade County, striking two other vehicles Wednesday afternoon, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The shots rang out around 12:45 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway at Northwest 103rd Street, FHP Lt. Alejandro Camacho said.

The gunman fired toward other cars on the road and hit a gray BMW and a white Dodge Ram pickup, Camacho added, noting that no one was injured.

The Mercedes, which had a temporary tag, was last seen getting off the highway on exit 8A onto Northwest 95th Street, according to the FHP.
