Cyclist dead after hit and run in Northwest Miami-Dade, sheriff’s office says
A man died after he was hit by a car while riding a bicycle in Pinewood on Monday night, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
Around 11:55 p.m. deputies responded to a call about a bicyclist who was struck in the area of Northwest 12th Ave and 103rd Street.
The deputies found a man, whom authorities have not identified, lying on the ground unresponsive. He was pronounced dead on scene by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. The driver of the gray sedan that hit him fled west on Northwest 103rd Street.
The MDSO traffic homicide unit is investigating.
