Firefighters are working to put out a small grass blaze that is billowing smoke in West Kendall on Friday. Authorities say the fire isn’t affecting nearby homes or businesses.

Around 3:30 p.m., Miami-Dade Fire Rescue was called out to the blaze near Southwest 10th Street and 157th Avenue.

While there have been no injuries or threats to nearby structures, fire rescue is still warning residents of possible smoky conditions.

The Florida Forest Service reported that the fire is about 120 acres, and its crews are assisting in putting out the blaze.

This marks the second grass fire this week. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue assisted in putting out a blaze on Thursday near the 16500 block and SW 8th Street.

South Florida is experiencing dry conditions that help start and grow brush fires, forecasters said.
