Miami-Dade firefighters battled a warehouse blaze in Medley Saturday afternoon, authorities say. It took about two hours and over 40 fire crews to bring it under control. No injuries were reported.

Around 1:50 p.m., Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews rushed to the reported fire near the 7500 block of Northwest 82 Place, a warehouse district in Medley. Firefighters arrived to heavy smoke and flames coming from the warehouse.

Due to the size of the building, the incident was upgraded to a third alarm fire. Over 40 fire crews worked to extinguish the fire.

A part of the roof collapsed due to the fire. Firefighters conducted “a defensive attack” from outside the building, using ladders and saws to open doors and other access points to reach the fire, as well as shooting foam to extinguish it.

As of 4:40 p.m., the fire was under control.
