Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office tactical team deputies arrested a man Thursday afternoon following a brief standoff at a house in the Kendale Lakes neighborhood.

Deputies went to the house in the 5400 block of Southwest 128th Avenue after receiving an anonymous call about a loud disturbance, Detective Joseph Peguero said.

When they arrived, a man and his mother and grandmother were inside, Peguero said. The man, who the sheriff’s office did not immediately identify, has an open warrant for felony battery on a law enforcement officer, Peguero said.

Special Response Teams deputies entered the home and took the man into custody, Peguero said, adding no one was injured.

This is a developing story that will be updated as more information becomes available.
