Pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by car, Miami police say
Miami Fire Rescue paramedics took a man to the hospital in critical condition after he was struck by a car Monday night, police said.
The man, believed to be in his late 60s, was crossing Northwest 37th Avenue and 2nd Street when the car hit him, said Officer Michael Vega, a Miami police spokesman. Paramedics took him to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene, Vega added.
