Miami-Dade deputies on Sunday are still trying to piece together the facts behind a shooting the day before that left one man dead inside a vehicle near a flea market.
Around 5:50 p.m. Saturday, deputies rushed to calls of a shooting in the area of Northwest 79th Street and Northwest 27th Avenue, the sheriff’s office said. A man, who was not identified, was found suffering from gunshot wounds inside a car.
He was taken to a hospital in critical condition, but later died from his wounds.
Deputies have taken one person into custody connected to the shooting, but have not elaborated on who they are nor their role. MDSO’s homicide unit is still investigating.
