Child dies after being found floating in pool in El Portal, sheriff’s office says

A little girl has died after being found floating in a pool early Friday morning in El Portal, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
The four-year-old child was found near the 100 block of Northwest 90th Street around 3:40 a.m..
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took the child to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The investigation is now being led by MDSO Homicide, who took over from the El Portal Police Department.
MDSO provided no further information.
