Man slashed neck of man who was washing car at Taco Bell in Kendall: MDSO deputies
A man crept up behind another man who was washing his car at a Kendall Taco Bell parking lot and slashed his neck with a knife, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
The unprovoked attack happened around 11 p.m. Saturday at the fast food restaurant, located at 13550 Southwest 152nd Street, the sheriff’s office said.
The knife-wielding man, 34-year-old Luis Gonzalez, approached the victim from behind, grabbed him by the chin and cut him, according to Gonzalez’s arrest report.
The victim, whose name was redacted from the report, followed Gonzalez as he walked eastbound on 152nd Street, deputies said.
Deputies caught up with Gonzalez and cuffed him moments later. They found a red knife in the right pocket of his shorts, the report states.
As of Monday afternoon, Gonzalez is being held at Turner Guilford Correctional Center with bond yet to be set by a judge on a charge of aggravated battery on a person 65 years of age or older.
Information on his legal representation was not immediately available.
