Flood advisory canceled for parts of Miami-Dade

Portions of Miami-Dade County were put under a flood advisory until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The advisory covers north-central Miami-Dade, according to the National Weather Service.
Flooding already is reported in the Westchester area, between Coral Way and Southwest 102nd Avenue.
“Water was ankle deep and was splashing onto sidewalks but the road remained passable,” according to a weather service bulletin.
Other areas at risk of flooding include Doral, Miami Springs and Sweetwater.
Up to two inches of rain had fallen by 5:30 p.m. as strong thunderstorms pass over the region.
