Miami police say a double shooting Monday that left two wounded and a bullet-riddled car on I-95 was the result of a dispute earlier in the day.

Around 2 p.m., Miami Police officers responded to reports of a shooting near Northwest Second Avenue and 56th Street and found a 16-year-old boy with a gunshot wound.

Officer Kiara Delva, a Miami police spokeswoman, said he was alert and conscious when paramedics took him to Jackson Memorial Hospital. It’s not clear where he was hit and his condition.

Moments later, a 20-year-old man was dropped off by a family member at Jackson with a gunshot wound to the foot, Delva said.

The car was shot up in the melee and the driver sped away, with the vehicle ultimately becoming disabled on the highway, Delva said.

“Both males are stable and expected to be okay,” said Delva. “The investigation remains ongoing at this time, and no arrests have been made at this point.”
