Weather alert: Heat and thunderstorms return this week

Hot and stormy.

The upcoming week’s weather will be a lot like last week’s weather. That means temperatures in the low- to mid-90s (feeling like the 100s) and mid- to late-afternoon thunderstorms.

Monday and Tuesday will be mostly cloudy, with the chance of rain at 60 percent. Sunnier skies return on Wednesday, when the rain chance drops to 30 percent.

Thursday will see light winds from the southwest as well as afternoon thunderstorms. Friday night clouds will last through the weekend, with the chance of rain at 50 percent.
